Motor & Cord

Keep Your Boat Slip Open.

The Perma-X Dock De-Icer circulates water beneath docks and boat slips to help reduce ice formation. Its 1 HP motor and propeller hang vertically from a protective guard—without a floor-standing frame.

Simple dock installation: Two suspension ropes come pre-attached to the guard. Tie them securely to suitable dock cleats or posts and adjust the hanging position according to the installation instructions.

Choose 120V with a 33-foot or 100-foot cord, or 230V with a 33-foot cord. All three configurations use a 1 HP, 60 Hz, 3,450 RPM motor and include a one-year limited warranty.

Electrical requirements: Both 120V options draw approximately 12 amps and use a standard 120V plug. The 230V option draws approximately 6 amps and uses a NEMA 6-15P straight-blade male plug, designed to connect to a compatible NEMA 6-15R receptacle. Confirm that your outlet and electrical circuit are compatible before ordering.

Important Safety Information

Read the final Slinger installation instructions before use. Have a qualified electrician verify power source and protection for the selected voltage. Keep all people and pets away from operating equipment and thin or open ice.

Disconnect power before handling, retrieving, adjusting or maintaining the unit. Never enter the water while the unit is powered. Keep ropes secured and clear of the rotating propeller. Never operate the motor out of water or with damaged components.

DANGER: Circulation can create thin or unstable ice beyond the visibly open area; clearly mark or restrict access.
